Detail of Sister Justice Banner

Sister Justice belongs to a new pantheon of gods and heroes created to confront the fear and uncertainty of our modern day. Born of an affair between Hindu goddess Kali and Christian saint Mary Magdalene, Sister Justice is the Patron Goddess of womxn, bodily integrity, and abortion. She is tasked with removing the seven demons that block the path to justice: Misogyny, Patriarchy, Racism, Greed, Fear Mongering, Hate, and Alternative Facts. This banner was carried in artist Michele Pred’s Radical Love Parade for the 2019 Stockholm Fringe Festival and included in the exhibition Abortion is Normal, curated by Jasmine Wahi and Rebecca Pauline Jampol and co-organized with Marilyn Minter, Gina Nanni, Laurie Simmons, and Sandy Tait.
