Flying High for Equality

We created a site-specific installation for Joyce Kilmer Park in the Bronx consisting of a flock of sculptural sparrows as a metaphor for society’s ongoing struggle for equality. It was founded by Art in the Parks: UNIQLO Park Expressions Grant and the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. This Grant was given to parks that are underserved by cultural programming in an effort to transform these locations into art destinations, through a series of rotating exhibitions.
