Jaz Graf, 2018

My ancestors’ ashes were released along Thailand’s Chao Phraya river, depicted here from a super-human vantage point. Cartographic plates which seem to levitate, cinders and dust have a perceptual presence but an expressive absence. A river, often the symbol of life, is marked as void, scar, hereafter.
