Oxfam / Rankin / Cheka Kidogo Installation

Bellaran installing the outdoor exhibition Cheka Kidogo (Swahili for ‘laugh a little’), portraits of the residents of Mugunga camp in the Democratic Republic of Congo, taken for Oxfam by celebrated photographer Rankin to raise awareness of the region’s forgotten conflict.

A public art exhibition of photographs printed on transparent film, mounted to low ion toughened 8mm glass with an optically clear adhesive, approx. 4′ x 9′ screens integrated for moving images, dialogue and atmospheric sound.
