Welcome Quilt

The custom stencil created was based on a crochet granny square pattern. Utilizing the rainbow colors of the LGBTQ flag and trans blue, pink and white along with a range of skin tones, the painted quilt is meant to signal inclusion and diversity within the Newark community. Interspersed are hand painted squares inspired by the Newark Museum of Art’s quilt archive.
