Dena Muller speaks on strategies for applying for grants as an artist: from writing descriptions, to selecting images, presenting budgets and more.



About the Presenter:
For more than 20 years, Dena has worked in artist services capacities with both non-profit organizations and individual artists, including ArtTable, New York Foundation for the Arts, CUE Art Foundation, and Creative Time and with artists Hank Willis Thomas, Sarah Sze, Dread Scott, and Mariko Mori, among others. Dena began her career at the historic artists’ collective A.I.R. Gallery and has helped to raise and manage millions of dollars in service to artists’ work and projects. She has an MA from New York University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in Museum Studies and Non-Profit Administration and a BA in Material Culture Anthropology from UW – Madison.
