THE JEWISH MUSEUM OF NEW JERSEY

The Jewish Museum of New Jersey is dedicated to that portrayal of rich cultural heritage of NJ’s Jewish people. Through its thematic exhibits and public education programs, the museum promotes a broader understanding and a mutual respect among people of all backgrounds.

The Jewish Museum of New Jersey was founded in 2003 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in the State of New Jersey.  The museum is housed at historic Congregation Ahavas Sholom, a state and national landmark and the oldest continually active synagogue in Newark.
